Objectives

1)   To help students to visualise the linkage of each class of compounds.

2)   To help students to summarise and connect all 7 chapters of organic compounds (i.e. Alkanes, Alkenes, Haloalkanes, Alcohol, Carbonyl, Carboxylic acid and Amines) into one concept map.

3)   To increase students’ ability of retaining information in their long term memories using colour-code.

4)   To increase students’ scores in questions involving synthetic pathway and predicting or deducing organic compound structures.
